Dr. Weiss joined the Maple Leaf Clinic to provide educational and behavioral services to schools and people with disabilities. Previously, as a Vermont State University Castleton professor, she taught courses in assessment, trauma, early intervention, and special education for individuals from birth to 21 years. She holds several degrees in special education and psychology. Her work spans culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and families across ages, abilities, and settings in various therapeutic, educational, and consultative roles. Most notable is her background with children with autism spectrum disorder and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
Jonathan Gilmore, M.S., C.A.S. Licensed Psychologist – Clinician
Jonathan Gilmore is a Licensed Clinician in psychology, neuropsychology and psychotherapy with a M.S. in Clinical Psychology and a post-baccalaureate Certificate of Advanced Study in secondary education. He performs neuropsychological evaluations and general psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. His areas of specialty include neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents and adults with or suspected of having pervasive developmental disorders, and psychotherapy with suicidal or traumatized adults. He also facilitates Heartbeat Vermont, a support group for people who have lost loved ones to suicide. In addition to his work at the Maple Leaf Clinic, he was an adjunct instructor in the Division of Psychology and Human Services at the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Vermont until the school’s recent closure.
Lindsey Gail Johnston, M.S. Licensed Psychologist – Clinician

Lindsey Johnston is a Licenesd Clinician in psychology and psychotherapy who graduated in 2013 with her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Vermont. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Theology in 2009 from College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. Lindsey believes that each individual had a distinct story and deserves a therapeutic approach tailored to their strengths and needs. Lindsey has experience with crisis intervention, crisis assessment, psychological evaluation, and providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of specialty include EMDR, and working with LGBT(QIA) individuals.
Benjamin Turner, M.A., C.A.G.S. – Clinician
Benjamin Turner is a Clinician in psychology, school psychology, neuropsychology, and psychotherapy with an M. A. and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology. He performs both neuropsychological and psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. He maintains a special interest in working with service members and military families, as well as individuals with video game addiction.
Seth J. Peets, M.A., C.A.G.S. – Clinician
Seth Peets is a Clinician in psychology, school psychology, and psychotherapy with an M.A. and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology. He performs psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. He maintains an active interest in the science behind developing an Autism Spectrum Disorder and the psychotherapeutic treatment of individuals with autism who struggle in their day-to-day lives.
Kayja Champine, LCMHC – Clincian
Kayja Champine, LCMHC is a licensed mental health clinician working out of the Rutland Office. She has been working with the pediatric population for several years now providing direct support to children and their families including, newly, navigating the “new normal” since the COVID pandemic has taken place. Kayja loves helping others, but her favorite title is mom. With her free time, she enjoys spending it with her husband and daughter, looks forward to annual trip to the beach, making new memories, sharing laughs, and having dance parties!

BobbieJo Lack – Office Manager
BobbieJo Lack is Maple Leaf Clinic’s office manager. She handles all the day-to-day, behind the scenes tasks which keep the office running smoothly. She was born in New Hampshire and moved to Vermont in 2007 with her 2 daughters. She has a clinical background and currently works with Regional Ambulance as a CPR instructor. In her free time she enjoys traveling and Karaoke.
Elisabeth Peck – Administrative Assistant – Wallingford
As you enter Maple Leaf Clinic in Wallingford, the first smiling face that you will most likely meet will be Elisabeth Peck. She is the Receptionist and Digital Services Administrator for Maple Leaf Clinic, and is a Vermont native who is currently pursuing an Associate’s degree through the Community College of Vermont. Elisabeth enjoys riding her motorcycle throughout Vermont as well as traveling around the world.
Kerri Frey – Administrative Assistant – Rutland
When you come into Maple Leaf Clinic, Rutland, you will be greeted by Kerri Frey. Kerri has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and a Associates of Science in Office Administration. Kerri has held several positions servicing children and families in and around the Rutland Community. She is always happy to see our clients and makes everyone feel warm and welcome. In her spare time she enjoys time with her friends and family, traveling, gardening, and spending time at many of our local rivers.

Eugene King – Jack of All Trades
When you arrive at Maple Leaf Clinic in Wallingford, there is a chance you may bump into this young man doing chores on the outside of our building. Eugene takes great pride in maintaining our lawn, plants, painting projects, pressure washing, and general tasks around. Many of our clients enjoy their greeting and small conversations on their way in. Eugene brings a great energy to Maple Leaf Clinic.
Skip
Skip is a Tennessee Walker Hound mix rescued from South Carolina. He loves Halloween since it is his birthday. He has already treed two bears, although he had no idea what to do with them once he had them. He is a high energy dog who loves to run and run and run, swim, and try to make friends with the chickens in his neighborhood, although they are having no part of it.
